Chattanooga Kennel Club prepares to help in a disaster

Hello Club members and DART volunteers,
Check your calendars!
Another Sequoyah Nuclear Power Plant drill is coming up June 27th at 8:30 AM and
June 28th at 12:30 PM at Ocoee Middle school in Cleveland.
The CAMET will be on site and we need volunteers to set up for the incoming animals.
The 27th will be set up and practice, the 28th will be the actual disaster simulation
graded by FEMA [serious stuff].
Jeff Gunter from Bradley Co. EMA will hold a class for us on what will be involved
with the drill. The last one I attended was very informative. If you are not able to
help at the drill you still won't want to miss the class. Date and time TBA.
If you can do any of the following; Help set up crates, or fill in the paper work for
incoming dogs, or take a photo, or put an ID collar on a dog, or walk a dog, or fill a
water bowl, etc. etc. WE NEED YOU!!
This will also be great publicity for our club. It lets people in our communities know
the variety of services our club is involved in. The exercise can likely be featured on
AKC's website as well as our local newspaper.
Please email me if you can help in any way.
