Matt McMillan’s German Shepherd Dog, GCH Autumn's Georgia Rose, Rose, went Se-lect Excellent #2 (Runner Up Female)at the 2018 German Shepherd Dog Club of America Na-tional Specialty. Thank you Judge James Moses for the prestigious win, our team is so hon-ored. Rose was bred and is co-owned by Janie and Curtis Shaver of Autumn Shepherds and Matt.

Jerry Davis’s Lowchen, Tango went Breed and Group 2, Sunday in Knoxville.

Greg Dut-son’s 4 month old puppy Vizsla went BIS Puppy in Knoxville.

Neke Burke’s Sheltie, "New" Ch NewRising Let It Shine , Aslan finished with a 3 point major at the Oak Ridge Kennel Club shows from the bred-by class under breeder Judge Sulie Greendale-Pavezza.

Carlene Gilstraps’ Pomeranian CH Mountain Crest River Lea, Issy, won winners bitch at the Central Arkan-sas Pomeranian Club Specialty for a major and winners bitch at Toy Dog of Arkansas Specialty for another major. Also, Mountain Crest U R My Hero, Tucker, won Best in Sweepstakes at Central Arkansas Specialty.


Chattanooga Kennel Club prepares to help in a disaster

Hello Club members and DART volunteers,
Check your calendars!
Another Sequoyah Nuclear Power Plant drill is coming up June 27th at 8:30 AM and
June 28th at 12:30 PM at Ocoee Middle school in Cleveland.
The CAMET will be on site and we need volunteers to set up for the incoming animals.
The 27th will be set up and practice, the 28th will be the actual disaster simulation
graded by FEMA [serious stuff].
Jeff Gunter from Bradley Co. EMA will hold a class for us on what will be involved
with the drill. The last one I attended was very informative. If you are not able to
help at the drill you still won't want to miss the class. Date and time TBA.
If you can do any of the following; Help set up crates, or fill in the paper work for
incoming dogs, or take a photo, or put an ID collar on a dog, or walk a dog, or fill a
water bowl, etc. etc. WE NEED YOU!!
This will also be great publicity for our club. It lets people in our communities know
the variety of services our club is involved in. The exercise can likely be featured on
AKC's website as well as our local newspaper.
